Our Paleo Recipes are all family favourites. This one pot Chili con Carne was a regular favourite whilst we were travelling in our campervan in 2012.
To conserve gas we needed to come up with easy camping recipes that could be made in just one pan, and this one really hit the mark with everyone.
We hadn't made it since being back in a house, but the other night I needed something quick and simple and so this dish was revived, much to everyone's delight!
It might not look much, but give it a try, we think you'll love it too.
This dish is loaded with sweet potatoes which are rich in Vitamins A (beta carotene (which gives them their orange colour) & C which are both powerful antioxidants - antioxidants are reputed to help in the prevention of a number of significant diseases, not least cancer and cardiovascular disease.
Ground beef - great source of protein, niacin, B-12 and selenium as well as providing an excellent source of zinc.
Of course being a paleo recipe this chili is beanless so there are no nasty lectins to upset your gut!
You could serve this dish with a big salad or some cauliflower rice, but we like it just as it is.
